Window of opportunity

In life, every step counts, every path matters, in grabbing the window of opportunity presented along the way.
Each slipper used in the artwork symbolically represents different people with unique identities. The three different pathways taken by the orange slippers represent the choices and options available to each individual. The bundles of slippers that have not taken a path represent the countless numbers of people who are unable to go forward with their lives, which feel rejected or lost. The window in the center and the view seen from it represent hope and opportunity for those who are brave enough to take every single step.

Maldives Contemporary 2009

12th January 2009
Tonight, Maldives Contemporary will open in National Art gallery. The exhibition includes works by 24 artists and I am one of them. I am so glad that I got a chance to display my works with well-known and rising artist.

A window of opportunity

My work is on minivan news 11th January 2009, I am so honored!

The article is named after our installation “A window of opportunity”. It was a group installation prepared by me and ifham. The article was on the subject of our exhibition (Fine art and photography exhibition) its gives a brief description of our installation art.

Fine Art & Photostory Exhibition

we had a blast at the opening reception of our exhibition at National Art gallery. Many thanks to National Art Gallery for providing the gallery space to show our work. Also a big 'thank you' to the people who came to see our works.
The work shop was organized by “Atholhu - Platform for Artists”, “Maldives Photographers Association” and “Utopian Culture”. The exhibition will be on display from 10th to 17th, hope to see you all.
